Heather Cassells received her Honors Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario where she completed an Honors Specialization in Media and the Public Interest and a Minor in Women’s Studies. Heather went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Ottawa. During law school, Heather was extensively involved as a volunteer with a national legal rights organization; she assisted with their Family Law Project and public legal education programs during a Fellowship with the Vancouver area office, and in her final year of law school she served as Chair of the Ottawa branch. While in law school, Heather also gained valuable experience working as a family law research assistant and completing an internship with a prominent Ottawa family law firm lawyer. Heather first joined Kain & Ball in 2012 as an articling student. She was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2013. Heather looks forward to furthering her legal career as a member of the experienced legal team at Kain & Ball.
